PERSONALITY
Tanis possesses an uncanny charisma, a fiery temper, and a boldness unmatched by any. Volatile by any means, she can be highly opinionated and rebellious against authority. N'bel, her even-tempered counterpart, frankly infuriates her with his passivity. She is kind unless riled, and would sacrifice anything for the good of the Weyr.
She can be hardheaded, but is highly intelligent despite her stubbornness. So far, she has served the Weyr well - though she is frightened of doing to much by virtue of her inexperience. She also has a lackadasical and often irreverent sense of humor that gets her in trouble more often than not.
Tanis surprisingly has a lot of respect for tradition, and if it weren't for her duties as Weyrwoman she would want to be a Harper. Despite that, she still knows hundreds of old ballads by heart and can often be found singing them to herself or Aurumth.

Dislikes : Crawlers, people who are just as stubborn as she is, being ignored.

HISTORY
+Born to a rather normal family in Fort Weyr, daughter of a kitchen maid and a Greenrider, neither of which were of any note. She is however, the granddaughter of a well-known Harper.
+Grew up among the weyrfolk, worked in the kitchens
+ Managed to somehow get recruited for the hatching at the tender young age of 17
+ Impressed the gold Aurumth - life never was quite the same after that.
+ Started training as a weyrwoman, hated it and often shirked her lessons to go listen to her grandpa tell stories and sing songs.
+ Grandfather died, went through a long grieving period only lessened by Aurumth's support.
+ First mating flight, Aurumth was caught by N'bel's bronze and the two have kind-of-not-really been a couple since. She kind of hates him, kind of loves him. They bicker like a married couple.
+ Disaster struck shortly after - the disease took it's toll on Fort Weyr
+ Though she fought adamantly to try and stay within the old weyr, she eventually came to terms with N'bel's decision to leave Fort Weyr behind.
