PERSONALITY
Shes young, feisty, and eager to prove that she has what it takes to master any challenge that life throws in her direction. Sarah is very much a 'go getter' when it comes to life and isn't about to sit on the side lines, and wait for opportunity to come knocking at her door. Instead she's out there grasping opportunity by the horns, and showing everyone that she's capable of doing things just as well as they can.
Sarah is a determined young woman that isn't afraid to step into a leadership role should the chance arise, and seems to be at home organizing things in a way that she thinks will work best - but sometimes things just don't work out that way. Rather then letting this get her down she takes the opportunity to learn from her mistakes, and should the same situation come up again she takes the opportunity to try something new to see how that will work out.
Her biggest flaw is the fact that she is horribly impatient, and doesn't tolerate doing nothing well at all. She's the kind of woman that seems to need her life filled with constant action, and anything over then that it completely intolerable to her.

HISTORY
Sarah's life story starts out much the same as anyone else. Her mother became pregnant with her following a gold flight, a flight that resulted in one of the loosing riders taking out his passion on the young woman, and being equally impassioned the woman found herself responding in kind. The resulting pregnancy wasn't easy on Sarah's mother, and by the time the girl was born her mother was fatigued from her pregnancy - something that took her weeks to recover from and resulting in post-natal depression. It was this depression that caused the woman to not bond with her daughter, and despite her best efforts she soon gave her daughter to the weyr's creche to care for.
The next few years of her life where spent in the care of various adults, and in time the care of the Harper hall after she chose the craft as her life's work. She blossomed under the care of her care givers, and grew into a fine young woman that just wanted to prove that she was nothing like her mother. Sarah wanted to show the world that she would rise to great heights despite her start in life, and spent hours practicing to prove to her elders that she wasn't just saying that to make them happy - she was deadly serious about every word. As determined as she was nothing she did could prevent the fact that illness ravaged the weyr. Dragons may have been the ones that where dying off, but that didn't stop the wave of panic that speed through the ranks of the populace, and she was beyond devastated when she heard that her mother had left with one of the fleeing brown riders.
Sarah never had much of a relationship with her mother, but that didn't stop her from feeling rather upset about the fact that her mother had up and left her all alone. Sarah would spend a few weeks fuming over her abandonment, but soon returned to putting more effort into proving that she was nothing like the woman. She helped out where she could, but in the end even she found that she had to leave the dying weyr, and found herself joining up with Junior Weyrwoman Tanis to set up a new weyr in the form of Invictum Weyr.
